Trees in the Treedome

Nine beautiful trees were planted  in our Treedome Park in early December. A silly time to plant trees you might think but it’s been such a mild Winter that we are only now (in January) experiencing real cold and frozen ground. In the Summer, the crew and I  prepared 3 foot deep holes for the trees to live in so it was pretty easy to re-dig the holes for the trees when they arrived. With the help of four volunteers from U of M we were able to plant all of them in one morning! We planted dogwoods, cherries, and crab apples. I am excited for Spring and the bursts of color that will accompany these beauties.
